THE ROADSHOWS
The AC Roadshow has grown from its humble beginnings many years ago into a very popular Mobile Disco Business. Because of the many existing and new customers who wish to use our services it has been necessary to expand our services so that none of our regular and repeat business customers are disappointed when you call to book. That coupled with the fact that some people book well in advance of their event and some leave it till closer to the date to book has meant we have had to become more flexible, bigger and resourceful to accommodate our customers needs.

This means we have now got 4 Roadshows with 6 regular DJs, Chris & Simon (The bosses), Mark & Gigi (International DJ's recently returned from Hong Kong), James (Who will DJ all over the world including Australia) and Ben (The baby of the bunch but highly talented and experienced). Over 100 years of combined DJ talent.

SOUND & LIGHTING
The Roadshows have equipment that is both state of the art and flexible and can cater for venues of any size indoor or out, so we can meet your exact requirements. We have our own sound and lighting systems, but we do have access to sound, lighting, staging and audio visual systems to meet the demands of any event. We have the biggest indoor/outdoor sound system in the Northwest available for large events, which we regularly use in places like the Wintergardens, Blackpool and on outdoor events throughout the UK.

MUSIC
We play the music that you want to dance to. We like full dance floors and smiling faces. Our extensive music library of Vinyl, Compact Disc and Mini Disc can cater for every style of music. We also look forward and encourage clients to give us their playlists in advance of their events so we can make sure we feature or in some cases don't feature particular tracks music.

Each of our DJ's has their own particular style and favourite music era's of their own but they all play to the dance floor. But if you like a particular style, like the 70's or 80's or 90's retro or Rock n Roll or Northern Soul or Mowtown then we can match the DJ to the sort of night you want.

EVENTS
We can do anything anywhere, indoor or outdoor, in equestrian centres, on the car decks of ferries, on outdoor stages, in car show rooms, in barns, in fields, on promenades, on floats in parades, in big venues, in small venues, in houses, in marquees, in churches, in village halls, in nightclubs and in music venues. We can cater for all tastes of music for any type of event including:

We are well known for providing complete solutions for events and have some specialist expertise and loads of contacts with other forms of entertainers and entertainments. So our advise is talk to us first as we could help in more ways than you can imagine.

THE DJS

DJ - Chris
Nickname: BigC
24 years mobile & club DJ experience playing to crowds of up to 10,000 people. Chris has a vast knowledge of all styles of music. He carries with him a fantastic collection of music to suit all types of events. Chris is the founder, proprietor, technician and driving force behind the AC Roadshow. An accomplished DJ, compere, sound, lighting and video technician Chris has been involved with many events all over the UK.
Chris has an enormous personal music collection and a diverse taste in music. His personal favourites come from the 1970s & 80s and he is a big Fleetwood Mac, Electric Light Orchestra and Earth Wind & Fire fan. He is currently into The Saw Doctors, an Irish folk rock band from the west of Ireland. Chris enjoys live gigs and regularly gets behind the mixing desk to engineer bands whenever he can. Best gig recently was the Complete Stone Roses at Morecambe Dome.
Chris announced his retirement in 2006 but still occasionally front the Roadshow for large events and special occasions such as the Young Farmers AGM.

DJ - Simon
Nickname: Mogz
Simon is the younger brother of Chris and has been DJing since he was 14. An experienced DJ, engineer and stage manager, Simon has been involved with many events over the years. His personal musical tastes come from the late eighties and early nineties. He is an accomplished mixing DJ with a flair for 80s retro. Simon has experience with events of all sizes and regularly DJs for crowds of 3,000+.

DJ – Ben
Nickname: Ben BJ the DJ
The newest addition to the AC Roadshow family, Ben like Simon started at a young age following his farther it the business of DJ’s.  Ben has recently branched out on his own and joined us in the fight to bring a good name to DJ’s.  Ben specialises in alternative music and 80’s a strange combination but Ben has a unique talent of mixing weird and wonderful music into mainstream.  Ben is always a crowd pleaser.

DJ - James
Nickname: Lurch
James joined the crew some 6 years ago after seeing us at the Wintergardens in Blackpool. James has spent the time with us learning and developing into a first class mobile DJ and now fronts one of our sister Roadshows. He has aspirations of becoming a world know DJ and plans to DJ in every capital city in the world.  He has already started on this adventure with a trip to Australia in 2006. His personal music tastes are Nineties Dance and Cheese. James is a Young Farmer also and he enjoys performing at the YFC events we do.

DJ - Mark
Nickname: Slats
Recently returned from Hong Kong with his Cantonese wife Gigi, Mark is a DJ and experienced engineering technician. Mark has world wide nightclub DJing experience as well as mobile and live sound.

DJ - Gigi
Nickname: (She doesn't need one with the name Gigi)
This Cantonese young lady is awesome. For a completely different DJ experience with an Oriental flavour, you will enjoy Gigi. A truly international jet-set DJ Gigi has her own style of mixing with many of the modern styles of music including House Music. She also has an amazing singing voice for that extra Oriental twist.

All the DJs have one thing in common and that is they want you to have a good night, they like a full dance floor and they love seeing happy smiling faces.
